‘Anubhuti’ – A Kavi Sammelan with a difference!

A festival of Hindi Literature and Culture organised by ‘Pasbaan-E-Adab’ at YB Chavan Centre, Nariman Point

Mumbai: ‘Pasbaan-E-Adab’, an organization active for over a decade for the conservation and promotion of Indian languages, literature and culture organized Anubhuti, a literary and cultural festival on September 16th and 17th September. The festival was held at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium, Nariman Point from 11 am to 10 pm. The festival witnessed the participation of leading personalities from Hindi literature and poetry-music world during the two-day festival.
The festival began on September 16th at 11 am with the Open Mic session. It was followed by career guidance session by experts for the youngsters. Mera Safar, an encouraging success story of actor Kumud Mishra was personally narrated by him to encourage students and audience. A unique theme of Kathak performed on Hindi poetry was presented by Neerja Apte & Team. Best Hindi teacher award was conferred to teachers & professors selected by eminent panel of jury members. It was then followed by Hindi Kavi Sammelan which had legendary poets like Padmashri Ashok Chakradhar, Jamuna Prasad Upadhyay, Dikshit Dankauri, Bollywood lyricist Sandeep Nath, Kunwar Ranjeet Chauhan, Alok Aviral, Athar Shakeel, Sameer Samant, and Malika Rajput. The first day of the festival was concluded by a presentation of folk music by Dr Anamika Singh at 8 pm.
The second day of ‘Anubhuti’ the literary and cultural festival began at 11am with the Open Mic session. It was followed by the Yuva Kavi Sammelan of the young poets with Obaid Azam Azmi. The second day also had, Miss Padma, a play by noted Hindi writer Munshi Premchand and Directed by Mujeeb Khan. Dushyant Samman – an Award curated by Pasbaan e Adab to felicitate and acknowledge the efforts of organisations & people who have made significant contribution towards promotion & propagation of Hindi language was conferred to Corporates & individuals in various categories followed by a soulful musical performance by Anup Jalota 6 pm onwards.
Founded by poet, writer and IPS officer Quaiser Khalid, ‘Pasbaan-e-Adab’, is a platform for the art, literature and cultural treasure. It is a celebration of every genre of the Indian culture. It appeals every one of us to come forward and contribute towards the upgradation of the language, literature, poetry, and art as it is the platform founded with love and harmony.
“The Kavi Sammelan mesmerized everyone participating in ‘Anubhuti’. The Open Mike session gave an opportunity to budding poets and writers to come forward and showcase their art,” said Mohammed Danish Shaikh, President of the organization. The festival also saw debates and quizzes related to literature, poetry, and music. It tested participants’ aptitude for literature and music. It was followed with music that soothed mind and brain.
The festival was supported by Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of India; and leading corporate houses including LIC Housing Finance, Central Bank, Lia Air Fresheners , Hindustan Petroleum, Indian Oil , UTI , Union Bank , Yes Bank.
