Former health minister Harsh Vardhan (PIB)
Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and his deputy in the Ministry Ashwini Chaube have paid the price for mishandling the Covid-19 pandemic, especially its second wave. The two were among the ministers who tendered their resignations. Other senior ministers include Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Information & Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Chemicals & Fertilizers Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, and Labor Minister (Independent Charge) Santosh Gangwar.
Other ministers who resigned were Debasree Chauduri, Sanjay Dhotre, Rao Saheb Dhanve Patil, Ratan Lal Kataria, Babul Supriyo, and Pratap Chandra Sarangi.
We don’t know how much blame can be apportioned to Vardhan for the mess during the second wave.
