Task force for Olympics: PM

The government will set up a task force to prepare a comprehensive action plan for effective participation of Indian sportspersons in the next three Olympic Games in 2020, 2024, and 2028. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this at a meeting of the Council of Minister on Friday.
The task force will prepare the overall strategy for sports facilities, training, selection procedures, and other related matters, according to a press release. It will comprise in-house experts as well as outsiders.
The Prime Minister said that the task force will be set up over the next few days.
