The Noida Authority and the Delhi-based School of Planning & Architecture (SPA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to chalk out a master plan for the Dadri-Ghaziabad-Noida Investment Region (DGNIR). ‘Master Plan 2041’ is likely to be submitted within 10 months.
Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari said that DGNIR is a major infrastructure project in western Uttar Pradesh covering more than 80 villages in two districts, PTI reported. The two districts are Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr.
According to an official statement, Maheshwari said, “Of these, 60 villages are in Bulandshahr, while 20 are in Gautam Buddh Nagar. This investment area, located between Khurja and Dadri, covers an area of 200 square kilometers, which is almost equal to Noida. “
As per the MoU, the SPA has been entrusted with the task of planning a master plan for a period of 20 years with a focus on incorporating infrastructure projects in the area as per future requirements and promoting industrialization.
SPA Director PSN Rao, who signed the agreement, apprised the Noida Authority officials about the process of developing the master plan for the mega project.
He also informed the officials that a market analysis would be done in the area before starting the master plan to get an idea about the upcoming industrial projects in DGNIR.
