The mainstream media might have convinced itself that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘silenced’ BJP leader Subramanian Swamy but that is patently false. For the Rajya Sabha member never hesitates in slamming former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan and Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian. He did the same on Monday too.
Speaking at a function to release a book, Stock and Credit Audit, by his long-time associate Suneel Maggo, Swamy minced no words in castigating Rajan and Subramanian. The former central banker, Swamy said, hurt the interests of small & medium enterprises by keep the cost of credit high. Subramanian, the BJP leader said, had criticized Modi severely when he was Gujarat chief minister.
