SP of Mirpur in PoK admits to strikes

Even as Pakistan continues to deny any ‘surgical strikes’ on its soil, a report on CNN-News 18 said that Ghulam Akbar, SP of Mirpur range in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, backed India’s claim.

Under the impression that he was talking to his superior IG Mushtaq, the SP of the Mirpur Range (Special Branch) in PoK revealed details about the attack. The bodies of terrorists were removed by the Pak military, the report said.

Akbar said that five Pakistani soldiers were killed, against the Pakistan Army’s statement that only two had died in the strikes.

The officer also informed the Indian news channel that the strikes happened between 2 a.m. to 4 or 5 a.m. The attacks were on separate places, he said.
