That the RSS is happy with the Narendra Modi government is no secret; the main saffron body’s frustration with the Vajpayee regime, too, is widely known. But it is rarely that top Hindutva warriors discuss such things in public. But RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was a little forthcoming over the subject on Friday in New Delhi.
He was speaking at the first death anniversary of Swamy Dayanand Saraswati, the great teacher of Vedanta who strove hard to spread the Hindu thought all over the world. Speaking on the occasion, Bhagwat said that before the 2014 general election, Swamyji asked him if Modi would be as much as disappointment as Vajpayee was. “I assured him it won’t be so this time,” the RSS chief said.
