Selfie mania of netas, babus

The media and people at large might have lambasted and lampooned Sports Minister Vijay Goel for his selfie-promotion in Rio, but the disease is quite widespread among the powers that be. At a function on Friday, a Secretary to the government of India did not find it odd to get a selfie with Sachin Tendulkar clicked on dais even as a speaker was delivering his address. Not satisfied with the effects by the picture he himself clicked, he asked a person to do the job.

A Union Minister at the same function was no less impatient. He sat on a chair next to the former cricket star, practically nudging out the person sitting there. The Honorable Minister also had a selfie with Tendulkar.
