The expelled BJP leader, Dayashankar Singh, who was on the run for making derogatory remarks against the former UP chief minister Mayawati, has been arrested by the UP police.
Singh was arrested at Sugar Mill Colony in Buxar, Bihar, from where he hails. Bihar police cooperated with their UP counterparts.
After he gained notoriety for making derogatory remarks against Mayawati, the BJP soon threw him out of the party.
Soon a criminal report was filed against Singh. He had been absconding since then.
